The 3rd Annual New Media Technology DayAN INVITATION TO PRESENTDEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS : April 7, 2008 Faculty, education advocates, students and IT professionals are invited to submit proposals for presentations. Session timeslots will be approximately 60 minutes long, 10 to 15 minutes of this time should be allowed for a question/answer period. Sessions may be presentations, hands-on workshops, or demos in any creative format. Event planners are especially interested in topics relating to new media, but presentations in related areas such as the following are also acceptable: Games Design Business to Business New Media Applications Web Tools Technology Convergence Mobile Applications Display Technology Finance on the Web Social Internet & Web 2.0 Web Radio Web TV Each session room will have a projector and screen. Microphones will be dependent on room size. Presenters must provide their own laptops. Presenters are encouraged to provide handouts to session attendees. Please send your session proposal to NewMediaDay@LaGCC.CUNY.EDU . Write "Presentation Proposal" in the subject field of the email. Please include the following information:
After the event, presenters are asked to send their presentations and electronic copies of handouts to NewMediaDay@LaGCC.CUNY.EDU to be loaded on the post-conference Web site. The 3rd Annual New Media Technology Day is offered free to all attendees. Presenters will not be paid and are responsible for their own expenses. The College may record the event, and all such recordings become the exclusive property of the College.
