Network Operations
4 credits; 4 hours (3 lecture, 1 lab)

This course introduces the student to general network theory with respect to the operation and management of modern networks. The student will use laboratory equipment to prepare print servers, file servers, multiplexers, routers and modems. Network monitoring will be introduced for troubleshooting skills and for data traffic analysis in a LAN environment. The laboratory work is geared toward preparing the student for network certification.
