Communications
4 credits; 4 hours (3 lecture, 1 lab)
This
course covers various methods and techniques used in computer
communications. The course is designed for telecommunications
majors and will aid them in applying data communications skills
to on-the-job situations. Main topics include message and packet
switching, communication servers, distributed systems, and line
control techniques. The laboratory portion prepares the student
to sit for the Novell CNA exam. The student can expect to pay
for additional materials for this course.
