Concepts and Programming
3 credits; 4 hours (3 lecture, 1 lab)
This
comprehensive course covers the concepts of data collection, organization
and retrieval. The understanding of data structures and the analysis
of file organization techniques will be emphasized. The principles
of data base design, selection and management will be introduced.
Students will be given extensive laboratory experience with programming
using a database application package.
Prerequisite: CIS109 or CIS195
