According to the U.S. Department of Labor's most recent occupational projections to the year 2012, next to health care, the fastest growing occupations will be in the computer industry. The Computer Informations Systems (CIS) department works closely with the Cooperative Education Department to supply our student with quality internships with corporations throughout the metropolitan area.
The CIS department of LaGuardia Community College is proud to serve one of the most culturally diverse student populations in the nation. Our students are able to study and earn a degree in a variety of technical fields that include:
